Amy Killelea, J.D. is an Assistant Research Professor at CHIR. Their research focuses on access to affordable, comprehensive health coverage for people with insulin-requiring diabetes, preventive services and vaccine coverage policy, and prior authorization.
Amy has extensive experience in public health law and policy. Amy began their career providing legal services to people living with HIV who faced access challenges to healthcare, including discrimination, affordability, and stigma. Since then, Amy has worked with federal, state, and local governments and community-based organizations to identify and implement systemic solutions to public health and health care access challenges, including insurance coverage regulations, 340B policies, and other drug pricing reforms to improve access to HIV and hepatitis medications. Amy received their B.A. from Smith College and J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
